Cosmetic Acupuncture is an ancient modality used to combat the signs of aging without the risk or downtime of surgery or injections. It utilizes very thin needles to create micro-wounds that initiate natural production of collagen, tones muscles, and improves circulation. This treatment also includes full-body acupunture points, as acupuncture can initiate changes deep inside the body at the level of organ functioning, resulting in a rejuvenated complexion from the inside, out. If circulation is not flowing freely throughout the whole body then organs, muscles, and lymphatic system cannot function properly, which can contribute to puffiness and premature aging.
Chinese medicine focuses on total body health. A holistic approach not only leads to improved appearance, but an overall improvement in sleep, energy, and digestion. With age, the 57 muscles in your face gradually lose tone and mass. This causes sagging, deep wrinkling, and a “tired face”. Insertion of thin needles into specific acupuncture points helps stimulates the muscle function, and the face lifts itself via the stimulation. The face takes on a healthier, refreshed, youthful appearance. Acupuncture is also known to cause a release of endorphins throughout the body, resulting in a state of “calm but energized”. “Microneedling Therapy also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), and Percutaneous (through the skin) Collagen Induction (PCI), is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of the [AcuMicro] Pen.
The mechanical action of the pen allows the needles to puncture the skin and create a controlled injury at a specific depth. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the bodies natural healing process to fill these micro wounds by producing new collagen and elastin in the papillary dermis. In addition, new capillaries are formed for improved blood supply.
With Microneedling, the top layer of the skin is parted without being damaged, leaving the skin intact. It does not “burn” your skin like peels or more invasive lasers. The needle penetration depth can be adjusted from 0.25mm to 2.50mm into the skin depending on the area of the body and the skin condition being treated. Using skin needling consistently will trigger the bodies repair process until the desired level of skin rejuvenation is achieved.
Microneedling results in the production of new collagen and elastin, improvement in skin tone and texture, firmness as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.” ~AcuMicro.com

Microneedling can also be performed on the scalp in order to help regrow hair. The treatment includes topical herbal medicine & stem-cell infused solutions to achieve maximum results. Microneedling for hairloss requires a minimum of 6-12 treatments to see results, performed one every 3 weeks. The treatment also includes acupuncture points on the body in order to address internal causes of declining hair growth. Treatment also includes optional dietary suggestions, supplements, modification of personal-care products, and lifestyle recommendations to optimize total body health.
